Ch-Ch-Changes

I was starting to get headaches from having long hair again!  So, Matt's godmother, who made my wedding cake, helped me out...
Cute and short!  I think Matt misses it long, but now I can wash and go again.
Now - about that view.  Those mountains in the background?  Yes, they are in my backyard.  (Photo above taken via Matt's phone at Grandpa's house!)

The Olympic mountains are so grand - they take my breath away.  I am SO happy to be living near mountains again!
This last one is a bit blurry, but it was so wonderful.  Matt and I went out for an evening stroll down to the Manette bridge and back - it was such a gorgeous evening!  I kept on exclaiming, "I love it here!!".

On the job front:  I have had a few interviews and just waiting callbacks.  One of them is a part-time job that I did get - being a Respite Care Provider for the Navy.  I will be taking care of some special needs kiddos for a few hours a month as needed.  I won't start until the summer though, as you have to wait for the fingerprints to come back from the FBI.  The other positions are part and full time, so I am just praying for the Lord to lead.

Matt is LOVING his job.  Some of the candidates that he finds and submits for jobs are overqualified, which is awesome in this market.  So, if you know anyone looking for a tech job, let me know and I will connect you to him.

We've been out for some epic runs lately - through a forest, along the beach, in the neighborhood - all so much fun!  So different.  My pastor in DC used to say, "A change of place + a change of pace = change of perspective."

I totally agree.

First, your hair is fantabulous! Short and sassy!! (Your family has some hair, girlie!)

Second, your pastor was a wise, wise man. He is absolutely right. I can tell a difference just in the tone of your posts--you are obviously SO much happier and in SUCH a better place. I couldn't be happier for you. :o)

Love the hair!!

I am so happy you are here now too! It almost like a sigh of relief just knowing you are so close. I bet your Momma feels the same way! :)

I love living here too. I don't think there is a day that goes by that I am not thankful for such a beautiful place to live. Can't wait to go camping and hiking with you in those mountains!

Love
Annie :)

So sad that your hair is so heavy - good thing it's beautiful both long and short! Perspective changes, hair changes, job changes, house changes - it just feels like spring to you over there, doesn't it? :) So glad you guys are loving life!
