I don't know what else to say other than thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Thanks, Ruhiyyih, for signing it and sending it to me. I'm actually all choked up with tears at the moment. I sent it out to a few of the folks I've been updating the past 18 months and asked them to sign it. It was actually sad for me to realize that some of the people were willing to pray for my own situation, but they wouldn't be up for something like this, so that's why I only sent it to about a third of my list. I also used that opportunity to tell them what I'm going to be trying to do to educate the medical community and women in North America about childbirth injury and preventable injury/death. I'm hoping and praying it does make a difference.

I don't know what's harder - going through the physical adventure, or now facing the emotional aftermath and the realization that I now have a whole new responsibility and calling to protect women around the world from fistula and other injury. Sometimes I'm tempted to just sit down and collapse in a ball of tears. But then I just ask God to give me courage, to get me through this heartache, and to help me do my part to make this world a better place until He decides it's time to make it new once and for all.

Thank you for your friendship and for your passion to pursue what is good and right and true for our whole world. I am so thankful you don't let the bigness of the task scare you into doing nothing. Thank you for acting and working so hard to find tangible ways to make a difference! You are a gem.

Thank you for understanding that "evil triumphs when good people do nothing" so deeply and for making sure you always do something. It really is that important!
